About Us
The Clyfford Still Museum Shop’s goal is to complement a Museum visit and to be a trusted resource for art-related merchandise.
Products sold reflect the mission, collection, exhibitions, and public programs of the Clyfford Still Museum, and we also offer related items that might interest our audiences. We develop custom products that represent the spirit of Clyfford Still, nurture creativity, and present new ideas and designs. Most of our special products are original, handmade, or locally produced. We strive to collaborate with local artists/artisans/vendors that support a sustainable environment. We also use less plastic, recycle, and internally generate less waste. The Museum Shop aims to encourage curiosity about art and abstract expressionism, conversation about creativity, and connections with humanities and to inspire shoppers to dig deeper into Clyfford Still and fine art as a whole.
Considered one of the most important painters of the 20th century, Clyfford Still (1904–1980) was among the first generation of Abstract Expressionist artists who developed a new and powerful approach to painting in the years immediately following World War II.
The Clyfford Still Museum is located in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District, west of the Denver Art Museum’s Hamilton Building. Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works Architecture designed the two-story, 28,500-square-foot building specifically to display Clyfford Still’s work. The Museum offers nine beautiful galleries of Still’s art, historical photos, objects and letters from the Clyfford Still Archives, interactive features, a pair of tranquil outdoor terraces, views into storage and conservation areas, a hands-on art creation studio, shopping, exciting programs and events, and more. The CSM collection represents 93 percent of the artist’s lifetime output, including approximately 3,125 works created between 1920 and 1980 and his complete archives.
